In fact it wouldn't be surprising if most birth announcements would be transmitted electronically in the future. Of course there are plenty of people who feel that traditional birth announcements will continue to be the best way to go about doing things for a long time to come. There remains a huge market comprised of people that still like writing down sentiments and important social messages on special pieces of paper, and birth announcements written down on paper is still the only thing that will suffice. With all of the people demanding the continuing practice of traditional birth announcements printed on paper, it is unlikely that those types of announcements will go away anytime soon.
